India: Aggressive Alcoholic Monkey Gets Life Behind Bars For Biting 250 People And Killing 1

A monkey in India has been given a life sentence for biting more than 250 people and killing 1, said local news agencies in the country.

The monkey that we are talking about is Kalua, who is known to be an alcoholic and aggressive monkey.

Kalua, who is a native of the Mirzapur District in Uttar Pradesh has been taken in by the Kanpur Zoo, where he will be caged for the rest of his life.

A report by IANS says that Kalua was a pet monkey that belonged to a local occultist, who gave him liquor to drink regularly.

Kalua, who is now 6, became dependent on the booze as it was given the beverage every single day.

However, everything changed when the owner of Kalua passed away.

With the owner away, Kalua’s alcohol intake was stopped, which made him extremely aggressive.

It got so bad that Kalua went on a biting spree in the city, which forced the authorities to capture the monkey.

Mohd Nasir, a vet at the zoo, said:

We kept him in isolation for some months and then shifted him to a separate cage. There has been no change in his behaviour and he remains as aggressive as he was.It has been three years since he was brought here, but now it has been decided that he will remain in captivity all his life.

Zoologists that worked with Kalua also noted that he was not eating vegetables and was not willing to participate in other monkey-like activities.

Experts believe that his rage is a result of the cannibalistic regimen the occultist prescribed to his animal.

A lot of crazy things happen in India, and this is surely one of the worst.
