India: Groom Tests Positive For Coronavirus After Marriage, Bride And Guests Quarantined
Palghar, India: A 22-year-old groom tested positive for the coronavirus 3 days after he got married, which led authorities in the district to quarantine the bride and 63 people that attended the marriage of the 2.
The incident happened in the Palghar district, which is located in Maharashtra, India.
The groom that tested positive for the deadly disease is a laboratory assistant.
An official released a statement about the incident, where he said:
He got tested before marriage and the report had returned negative. However, his samples tested positive after marriage. The bride and 63 others who attended the ceremony have been quarantined.
The Palghar district currently has 1,911 coronavirus active cases.
61 people have died from the deadly disease in the district.
