Indian Man Wills Half Of Property Worth Over $685,000 To 2 Elephants That Saved His Life
A man in Bihar, India, has willed half of his property to 2 elephants, who by the way saved his life when someone pointed a pistol on him.
Akhtar Imam, the Chief Manager of the Asian Elephant Rehabilitation and Wildlife Animal Trust, said that he has been looking after elephants since he was just 12 years old.
Talking about the moment the elephants saved his life, Imam said:
Once, there was an attempt of murder made against me. At that time the elephants saved me. When some miscreants armed with pistols tried to enter my room my elephant started trumpeting. It woke me up and I was able to shout and raise an alarm due to which the miscreants ran away.
Imam said that the 2 elephants, who are named Moti and Rani, are like family to him.
The elephants are so important for him that he said he would not live if they are not there.

The sad part about the incident that he fears for his life.
The man said that his family members are not happy that he transferred his land to his 2 elephants.
The wife and sons of Imam have been living away from him for the last 10 years due to some dispute in the family.
ANI, a news agency in India, shared the news on Twitter, where they said:

The man also talked about the fact that his son once filed a case against him, which got him some prison time.
He was let out after he proved that his son was not telling the truth.
The man said that his son, who has been identified as Meraj, had tried to sell the elephant to the smugglers, who by the way got arrested.
The property of Imam is actually worth a lot of money.
According to reports, the man has a property worth over 50 million Indian Rupees, which is around 685,000 USD.
He said that the money will go to the AERAWAT organizations if the elephants would pass away.
