Indian School Teacher Rapes 13-Year-Old Girl, Gets Her Pregnant, And Forces Her To Go Through Abortion

A government school teacher from Jashpur, Chhattisgarh, is currently being hunted down by the police for raping a 13-year-old girl, getting her pregnant, and forcing her to go through an abortion.

The horrible news was shared with the public during a press release on Sunday.

Rashid Anwar Khan, the accused, reportedly forced the girl to go through an abortion at a private hospital with the help of his associate.

Khan, who used to work at a government school, is currently on the run.

Sukhlal, the associate of Khan, was arrested by the police on Friday.

The teacher and four other school staff members, which include the headmaster, were suspended.

3 education department officials are currently being investigated for the negligence of duty.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the 13-year-old girl was raped inside the school premises in the month of January.

The teacher reportedly threatened the girl after the rape.

The girl told the ordeal to her parents after she faced a number of health issues.

Upon taking her to the hospital, the doctors found out that the 13-year-old girl was pregnant.

Upon knowing about the pregnancy of the 13-year-old girl, the teacher took her to a private hospital on February 22.

The teacher forced her to go through abortion with the help of Sukhlal.

The parents of the girl approached the police on Friday, where a case was registered against the accused men.

The men are facing charges under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code for rape, criminal intimidation, causing miscarriage without woman’s consent, criminal conspiracy and under provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The police are currently looking for the teacher.

An official investigation has been launched against the hospital where the kid was brought for the abortion procedure.

Nilesh Mahadev Kshirsagar, the collector of the Jashpur District, has suspended the teacher and 4 other staff members of the school.

Collector Nilesh said, “After the incident came to light, the accused teacher was suspended. The school’s headmaster, two other teachers, and a peon were also placed under suspension for alleged negligence in duty.”

Vipin Kumar Ambasht, the block resource coordinator, has been dismissed from the services, Raghvendra Chauhan, the cluster resource coordinator, has been suspended, and PK Bhatnagar, the block education officer, has been transferred.

The police are still trying to find the main culprit.
