A 21-year-old woman from Rajasthan committed suicide after her husband repeatedly humiliated her for her dark skin.

According to reports, the father of the 21-year-old woman registered a case against the husband of his daughter and told the police that he was responsible for the death of his daughter.

The Rajasthan Police Department said they haven’t arrested anyone yet.

An official statement from the husband is yet to be released.

The father of the 21-year-old woman told the police that his son-in-law used to humiliate his daughter repeatedly over her dark skin color.

The father claims this forced her to commit suicide.

In India, many people who have fairer skin believe they are superior to people who have a darker skin color.

This is not the first time an incident like this has happened in India.

In 2014, a 29-year-old woman decided to commit suicide after her husband repeatedly taunted her and humiliated her over her dark skin color.

In 2018, a 14-year-old teen from Hyderabad set herself on fire after her classmates repeatedly bullied her and called her ugly due to her dark skin color.

This incident shows how bias people are in India when it comes to skin color. It also shows the amount of racism that is still present in India, considering the fact that the government is doing a lot of things to eliminate racism.
