In a bizarre incident that happened in Karnataka, India, a husband that was so eager to go home with his wife and newborn baby ended up taking them away with force.

The woman was admitted to the Belthangady Government Hospital for delivery and was tested for COVID-19 as a precautionary measure.

After delivering the baby, she tested positive for the deadly disease, so she was shifted to a hospital along with her baby in Mangaluru.

But before they were admitted there, the husband arrived at the hospital, broke the lock of the hospital, and barged inside.

He wanted to bring his wife and baby home.

The staff of the hospital tried to stop him, but he fended them off.

The man got his wife and newborn baby into their car, and drove away.

The staff of the hospital called the police right away, who traced the couple and the baby within a couple of hours.

The woman and her child were later admitted to a hospital and the man was placed under home quarantine.

No police complaint was registered in the case.

Because of the incident, 3 other pregnant women that were at the hospital were shifted to other hospitals.

The hospital where the incident happened has been sanitized.
