Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir: 14 people have been confirmed injured in a terrorist grenade attack outside the Deputy Commissioners Office in Anantnag City, of South Jammu and Kashmir.
Amongst the injured people is a traffic police officer.
The terrorist attack happened in the early hours of October 5, 2019.
This is the second grenade attack that occurred in Srinagar, the first one happened on August 5, 2019.
According to authorities, the terrorists who carried out the attack threw a grenade on a security patrol that was outside the Deputy Commissioners office in Anantnag City, which is located around 55 kilometers away from Srinagar.
The terrorist attack reportedly happened at 11 am of October 5, 2019.
Authorities said the grenade exploded outside the house and didn’t hit the target it was supposed to.
The splinter hit 14 people, which includes a journalist and a police officer.
According to NDTV, the injured civilians were rushed to a hospital near the area and 13 of them were discharged on the same day.
One was kept in the hospital, according to reports, he is out of danger and is under observation.
No terrorist organization claimed the terrorist attack.
Authorities are now trying to track down the men behind the terrorist attack.
