Made In India: DRDO Flaunts Anti-Drone Laser Weapon During PM’s 74th Independence Day Address

An anti-drone laser weapon that is developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) was flaunted by India during the 74th Independence Day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was at Red Fort.

According to official reports, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) laser weapon is capable of detecting and jamming micro drones up to 3 kilometers away.

When they reach around 1 to 2.5 kilometers near the weapon, they can bring the target down.

No further information about the anti-drone laser weapon was shared with the public.

The laser weapon was deployed during the 74th Independence Day of India where Prime Minister Modi was at Red Fort delivering his speech.

During his speech, Prime Minister Modi said:

Congratulations and best wishes to all the countrymen on this festival of Independence Day. The sacrifice and the resolve to free the country of lakhs of sons and daughters of Maa Bharati is the reason for us being able to breathe in independent India today. This is a day to remember the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. This is also a day to show gratitude to security personnel including that of Army, paramilitary and police ensuring our safety.
