Mouza Sawarla Forest Range: Woman Killed By Tiger While She Was Collecting Flowers

Nagpur, India: A 38-year-old woman was killed by a tiger in the Paoni Forest when she was collecting flowers in the early hours of April 19, 2020.

The woman, whose identity was not shared with the public, was out on the morning of Sunday to collect flowers with her husband.

The incident happened in the Paoni forest in the Bhandara district of Maharashtra.

The police said that the woman and her husband went to the Mouza Sawarla forest range between 5 am and 6 am when a tiger attacked her.

The forest department said:

“She had gone to collect the flowers along with her husband when a tiger attacked her and killed her on the spot.”

Vivek Hoshing, the Deputy Conservator of Forests (Bhandara), and forest department staff rushed to the scene after they got to know about the attack.

The body of the woman was sent for an autopsy.

The forest department also allotted the family with Rs. 25,000.
