Mumbai: Swine Flu Kills 26-Year-Old Woman, First Recorded In Fall Season

Mumbai: A 26-year-old woman has passed away in a hospital in the city, doctors confirmed that the woman was diagnosed with swine flu and was in a critical condition.

The 26-year-old woman, Idris Khan, was in a critical state in the hospital but succumbed to the flu on July 13, 2019.

Amey Ghule, the Chairman of the BMC Health Committee, has advised people to eat food inside their house and avoid food that is sold in crowded markets.

Here are the signs and symptoms of Swine Flu:

  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny nose
  • Watery and red eyes
  • Body aches
  • Headache

If you are experiencing any of the symptoms above, make sure you get medical help as fast as you can.

Mr. Ghule also talked about Idris Khan, the woman who passed away, he said that the woman was in a critical stage in the hospital and was diagnosed with swine flu.

Mr. Ghule added that they have distributed medicines and injections in the hospitals in Mumbai so they could stop infectious diseases like Swine Flu to spread.

Until June 27, the number of deaths that were caused by the disease reached 189. Officials are yet to release the new and updated death toll.
