Just hours later after the successful launch of the Chandrayaan 2 Moon Mission, NASA, the space agency of the United States of America, congratulated the ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) for their marvelous job.
In a tweet that was made by NASA, they said that their space agency is looking forward to the findings of the Chandrayaan 2 when it reaches the moon.
They said, “Congrats to ISRO on the launch of Chandrayaan 2, a mission to study the Moon. We’re proud to support your mission comms using our Deep Space Network and look forward to what you learn about the lunar South pole where we will send astronauts on our Artemis mission in a few years.”
The moon mission of India had its successful launch yesterday at 2:43 pm.
ISRO is famous for its budget builds, the organization only used 1/20th of the NASA budget. It only cost India RS. 1,000 Crores to send a rocket to the Moon.
The Chandrayaan 2 mission will serve as a giant boost for the space exploration plans of the country.
India is set to become the fourth country in the world that has successfully made a landing on the moon.
As of now, there are only 3 countries in the world who have done the near-impossible, China, US, and Russia have done it before.
The Chandrayaan 2 is on its way to the moon right now and along it is an instrument from NASA.
The Chandrayaan 2 is carrying a special “Laser Retro Reflector” that India placed on the Vikram Lander. The instrument will be used to measure the exact distance between the Moon and the Earth.
The Chandrayaan 2 is expected to land at the south pole of the moon.
The Rs. 978 crore Chandrayaan 2 moon mission will land on the moon 47 days from now, which falls on September 7, 2019.
The unmanned mission will carry out experiments and collect information about the moon for 15 days.
