New Delhi: A 21-year-old woman claims she was drugged and raped by a taxi driver in the capital of the nation, the DCW (Delhi Commission for Women) has asked the Delhi Police to investigate the case and asked them to provide them a copy of the FIR and the route of the Taxi Driver on the day of the incident.
The DCW directed the Delhi Police to submit a report by August 9, 2019.
The police were informed about the incident on August 4, 2019, after the 21-year-old woman, whose identity was not shared with the public, was brought to the Safdarjung Hospital.
The woman claims she was raped by the Taxi Driver on the evening of Friday (August 2, 2019) after she took the cab from Mandir Marg.
In the complaint that was registered, the 21-year-old woman said she went to the Temple on Friday and booked a cab so she could go back home.
Instead of dropping her home, the cab driver drugged and raped her, and dropped her near the IIT Delhi.
The police said that there are some inconsistencies in her statement.
The police are currently trying to find the cab driver who allegedly raped the woman.
The police said no injury marks were found on the body of the 21-year-old woman.
