New Zealand Woman Comes To India For Indian-Style Wedding, Found Dead Inside Hotel Room

Paharganj, New Delhi: A 49-year-old New Zealand woman that was in India for her Indian-Style wedding was found dead inside her hotel room on November 15, 2019.

According to reports, Tuialli Polly Anne, the 49-year-old woman from New Zealand, was found dead inside her hotel room in Paharganj.

Polly Anne came to India with her Australian boyfriend for their Indian-Style wedding.

The boyfriend, whose identity was not shared with the public, said Polly was diagnosed with hypertension.

On the morning of November 16, 2019,  (Saturday) Polly was found unconscious inside her hotel room by her boyfriend.

Upon realizing something was not right, the boyfriend went to inform the incident to the staff of the hotel, who took the New Zealand national to the Lady Hardinge hospital.

Doctors at the Lady Hardinge hospital declared Polly as dead upon arrival.

Authorities believe that Polly may have died after a cardiac arrest.

An autopsy has been ordered by the police, and the exact cause of her death will be known after the report comes.

Gagan, the owner of the hotel, said, “Around 7 am, the Australian national came downstairs saying that his partner was in the washroom so he wanted to use another one.”

He added, “When he went back upstairs, he found her lying unconscious. He asked us to help. We called the ambulance and the police. The medics pronounced her dead.”
