Pakistan Minister Ali Amin Gandapur Says “Countries Backing India Will Be Hit By Missile”

A minister in Pakistan has sparked outrage and controversy after he set out a warning to all countries that support India in the Kashmir issue.

Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur said countries that support India in the Kashmir issue are going to be hit with missiles and are going to be considered as an enemy of Pakistan.

Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur said during an event, “If tensions with India rises on Kashmir, Pakistan will be compelled to go to war. Hence, those countries backing India and not Pakistan (over Kashmir) will be considered as our enemy and a missile will be fired at India and those nations supporting it.”

Naila Inayat, a journalist in Pakistan, shared the remarks of Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Twitter, where it went viral.

The remark of Minister Gandapur comes amidst the hot tensions of India and Pakistan, where countries across the world backed India in the matter and have snubbed Pakistan.

Countries in the SAARC and in the Arab nations have supported the decision of India to abrogate Article 370, which was giving Jammu and Kashmir special powers.

During the UN General Assembly in New York in September 2019, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan made a 50-minute speech on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.

Khan talked about the possibilities of starting a nuclear war with India, a country that was once their home.

Khan said, “If a conventional war starts between the two countries anything could happen. A country seven times smaller than its neighbor what will it do — either surrender or fight for its freedom.”

Khan added, “My belief is we will fight and when a nuclear-armed country fights till the end it will consequence far beyond the borders. I am warning you. It’s not a threat but worries about where are we heading. If this goes wrong you hope for the best but prepare for the worst.”

Khan also said that he was disappointed with other countries as no one was interested in helping them out in resolving the issue with India.

Khan also admitted that their country failed to internationalize the issue in Jammu and Kashmir.
