Goa, Panaji: The police arrested a school teacher in Goa for molesting 5 students at government-run school.

According to Superintendent of Police Arvind Gawas, the teacher was arrested after the 5 minor students went to the police and asked for help.

According to Officer Gawas, the 5 students are all minors and are from Class 5 and 7.

In the complaint that was registered by the girls, it states that they were being molested by the teacher and were being touched inappropriately.

The school launched an internal investigation and found proof that the 5 minor girl students were being molested by the police.

According to Officer Gawas, the complaint was filed by the internal committee of the government-run school.

After an FIR was lodged against the teacher, whose identity was not shared with the public and was arrested by the police on October 17, 2019.

The teacher is now facing charges under the Indian Penal Code Section 354 and more.

He is also facing charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.

An official investigation has launched for the molesting charges.
