They have expressed worry over how his body may not respond to medicines for venom. They feel that the body of Suresh, who has a long history of enduring snake bites, may have gotten resistant to the anti-venom medicines. He has been held under observation for a period of 72 hours in the hospital.

The 46-year-old local of Thiruvananthapuram is one of Kerala’s most celebrated snake catchers. In a 2017 conversation with Indiatimes, Suresh had said that he had gotten his first cobra when he was only a school kid.
