Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to conduct Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination on 27th August 2016. Earlier, the commission decided to conduct the exam on 8th and 22nd May 2016. But due to large number of applications the exam has been postponed. Now, SSC also changed the examination pattern. The SSC CGL Tier I & Tier II examination will be conducted in online mode (Computer Based Test). Candidates can check the examination pattern and syllabus from the article.

SSC CGL New Exam Pattern 2016:

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is the organization of central government that looks over the recruitment of Group B non-gazette and Group C non-technical vacancies in the country. Every year it conducts various competitive examinations and recruits for the posts of CGL, CHSL, Sub Inspector, Income Tax Assistant, Auditor in various departments like Indian Posts, Indian Railways, CBI, Central Vigilance, CBDT, CAG, etc. SSC CGL examination includes 3 levels of Tier I, Tier II and Tier III. SSC CGL 2016 Examination Pattern:

The SSC CGL Tier-I and Tier II examination is Computer Based Test (CBT). The duration of the exam would be of 75 minutes and the total number of questions in Tier-I is 100 questions instead of 200. There will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer. However, there is no change in Tier-II exam negative marking.

SSC CGL Syllabus 2016:

The exam will have four sections namely

  • General Intelligence & Reasoning
  • General Awareness
  • Quantitative Aptitude and
  • English Comprehension.
