Sushma Swaraj Does It Again, Helps A Son Attend His Father’s Funeral By Doing What No One Could Do

Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has been winning hearts of all the people across the nation ever since she took office. Her tweets are no short of legendary, her caring and service to the people in need are no less than awesome.

Whether it’s people from our own Country or another Country. Even amid the heightening tension between India and Pakistan, she recently helped a group of Pakistani girls to reach their Country safely.

Sushma Swaraj always stands in the first place to come forward and offer support to people in distress. Her domain of responsibility has gone above and beyond the line on multiple occasions. And she makes the best use of social networking sites in helping the people in distress. She is the twitter queen.

Once again she won our heart by doing something amazing. And this time, she has done something which earned her more respect. One woman tweeted to her asking for help and to help her, Indian Embassy in the US worked on a holiday.

Sarita Takru, a resident of Karnal, lost her husband on Monday. Her son, Abhai Kaul, who stays in the US, had troubles coming back to the country because the Indian Embassy in the US was on a two-day holiday.

Sadly, the Indian Embassy in Washington was closed for two days, owing to Vijaya Dashmi and Moharram holidays, which meant that her son would get the visa on Thursday.

The presence of her son for the cremation was essential and so Sarita took to Twitter to seek help in a series of tweets.

On noticing Takru’s tweet, Sushma Swaraj jumped to her rescue and directed the Embassy authorities in Washington to ensure a visa to Sarita’s son so that he could perform his father’s last rites.

Despite it being a holiday, Sushma Swaraj not only replied to her but also made sure that this issue was resolved at the earliest. Thanks to her quick response, a son was able to get the visa in the nick of time to attend his father’s funeral. She took the matter into her own hands, asked for her son’s number so that he could be contacted and kept the mother updated about the developments.

The External Affairs Minister is known for her prompt response to Indians in distress abroad and this incident has just added another feather to her cap.

This is not for the first time that our External Affairs minister has done something like this; earlier too, she has helped many people with her quick response. Thanks to her easy accessibility, we citizens feel assured that there is someone who not only hears our pleas but also makes sure that our problems get sorted at the earliest.

She has become an angel for the distressed visa seekers and a one tap solution to their problems.
