Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education (UPBTE or BTEUP) is the board which provides technical education to students in Uttar Pradesh, India, after completing their junior engineers course. It was formed in 1958 in Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. It was first time conduct exam on 1960 for Diploma courses. BTEUP is mostly affiliated with government colleges and a few private colleges. About 38,000 students in the following 52 different disciplines of one-year, two-year, three-year durations are being examined at present, in the institutions, affiliated to the Board. The Board of has been constituted under “U.P. Pravidhic Shiksha Adhiniyam – 1962”. It has a Chairman and a Vice-Chairman and 40 members nominated by the state Government.
