On Thursday, OpenSignal said that people are losing their interest over Wi-Fi Networks in India, this is because of the 4G penetration, as with the highest push of 4G penetration, Wi-Fi adoption had been left by a large number of smartphone users apart from this, they are preparing 4G.
As per the report, the government is planning to give coverage to around 250,000 panchayats and 5,000 railway stations within the next two years. Besides this, In India, 4G speed is not remarkable. Even, as per the wireless coverage mapping company’s report, in India, it is researched that slowest 4G speeds are among the 77 countries, However, in India, people are pretty much-taking interest in the 4G network in spite using of Wi-Fi networks.
it is also reported by OpenSignal company that in India, people are most likely to prefer 4G network and Wi-Fi are not getting the same amount of interest because the evolution of telcos skipped the fixed-broadband growth and moved along with the 4G in the country.

covering 90 days from March 1, 2018,
users on Vodafone spend the most time connected to Wi-Fi networks, especially, at 20 percent of the time. while the Airtel with 17 percent, Idea with 15 percent and Jio users come at the bottom with 7 percent, separately, apart from this Wi-Fi connectivity is growing in India.
Apart from this, the low Wi-Fi connectivity in India has been also described by the OpenSignal, it stated that limited penetration of home broadband comes on top. Especially, mostly subscribers In Europe buy their mobile, broadband, and TV services from one operator. But Indians cannot afford this business model, So most of the operators prefer to focus on mobile as opposed to fixed-line networks.
The low penetration of home broadband connectivity has been reflected in India. As per the report, Especially, Jio network users spend less time on Wi-fi as compared to its competitor since the jio operator has launched its JioFiber home broadband service.
