Wife Arrested After Husband Commits Suicide Because She Refused To Have Sex With Him
A woman has been arrested in India after her husband committed suicide because she did not want to have sex with him.
The woman is currently facing charges in India after a criminal complaint by the mother of the victim.
Geeta Parmar, the wife, is accused of abetment to suicide.
Surendrasinh, the husband of Geeta, committed suicide because of their lack of sexual activities.
The police arrested her even though she was not present when her husband died.
In the criminal complaint, Muli, the mother of the victim, said that the couple did not sleep together during their 22-month marriage.
The mother claims that this caused her son to develop depression, which led to committing suicide.
Parmar said:
Once I had gone inside my son’s room and found that he and my daughter-in-law were sleeping on different beds. When I asked my son about this, he told me that they did not have relations as Geeta had taken a vow that she would not sleep with her husband.
Before the death of her husband, Geeta left Surendrasinh and gone back to live with her parents.
He took his own life when the rest of his family were attending a funeral.
The incident is currently being investigated by the Shaherkotda police in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
