Recently a case was filed against Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s brother for posting a derogatory picture of a picture of Lord Shiva.
While Nawazuddin is away for a promotion of his upcoming film, the case was filled by a Hindu Yuva Vahini activist named Bharat Thakur and police has registered a case under section 153A of the IPC.
In an interview with Nawazuddin’s brother with Ani, he said “A man posted a derogatory pic of Lord Shiva. I confronted him about it and wrote you shouldn’t share posts that can hurt anyone’s religious sentiments. Instead, a case was filed against me. Charges should be investigated,”
According to a report by Hindu, according to police he had no intention of hurting any religion feelings, Hariram Yadav Deputy Superintendent of Police in Muzaffarnagar gave a statement saying “He wrote something to the effect that condemned the offensive post but while writing it he also copy pasted the offensive picture which is the reason behind the HYV’s anger and complaint.”
Later on, ANI tweeted,

However, the complainant demanded strong action against him to prove “that it is not easy to offend Hindus and it will fetch a deserving punishment of one dares to go down that road.”
However this is not the only time Nawazuddin’s family has been accused of such things, back in 2006 he was charged with the same thing as he was doing a Ramlila in his hometown and the case was protested by members of shiv sena saying him being a Muslim hurts the feeling of Hindu’s by doing so and thus resulted in cancellation of the show at the very last minute.
Nothing official verdict has come out yet while complainant demands strict action, police looks convinced that he had no such intention of what he is being accused of. Now only time will tell what final judgment comes and how it will affect the upcoming films of the actor.
