Gadar’s Director Makes Controversial Comments on Baahubali 2! Says It Hasn’t Broken Any Record And Claims That Gadar Earned 5000 Crores!

The whole world is going gaga over the SS Rajamouli’s iconic ‘Baahubali’ series which has raised the bar for all the movies to come and the epic ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ is one of the best movies we watched in 2017.’ Moreover, in just 23 days, it has crossed a whopping 1500 crores.

There is still much hype that the name of Baahubali has become household after the massive success of the film. People these days are talking more about the ‘Baahubali’ stars than any Bollywood star.

Many big stars and creative directors from different film industry of the south and north come out and applauded the magnum opus film, even SRK can’t stop appreciating SS Rajamouli and Baahubali; the movie is so perfectly made that you won’t be able to control your happiness and excitement.

But it looks like Anil Sharma, the director of legendary movie “Gadar” is not at all happy with Baahubali 2 and the records that it has broken.

Well, he has compared Gadar with Baahubali 2 and has said that the latter has not created any records; according to Sharma, Gadar, the Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer was a bigger hit.

Anil Sharma was attending the mahurat function of Genius, his son Utkarsh’s debut movie, and when a journalist asked him about Baahubali 2’s success, he said,

Please don’t frame me in all these things. If some good film comes, records would be broken. And as far as Bahubali 2 is concerned, it has not yet set any record.

Not only this, he further went on to say that his film Gadar had already earned 5000 crores. Want to know how? Anil gave an explanation for that too; he said,

As mentioned, Gadar had done a business of Rs 265 crore in 2001 when the ticket rates were Rs 25 only. As per valuation, it is Rs 5,000 crore today and Bahubali 2 has just reached some Rs 1,500 crore, so no record has been broken.

Actually, his statement is justified; when Gadar was released, the ticket prices were really low i.e. Rs 25, whereas now, the ticket prices of Baahubali 2 are around Rs 150-200.

We are waiting for SS Rajamouli’s reaction on this. How do you think he will react to this statement by Anil Sharma? Would Rajamouli accept it positively or will he give his own explanation too?
