Guru Movie Story:

The Guru is a sports drama. The story is about a boxing coach Aadi (Venkatesh), who is not able to win the championship of his time due to malpractices by his opponent Dev Khatri (Zakir Hussain) who is the head of the Boxing Association. He finds a fisher-woman Ramulu (Ritika Singh) who is aggressive and suitable for the boxing role. He trains her hard and makes her the boxing champion to win a sure shot medal for the country which he fails to win.

However, adamant Ramulu doesn’t obey Aadi’s rules. How did Aadi convince Ramulu? How was he as a coach? What did Ramulu do? How did this coach turn a vegetable vendor into a Boxing champion is the inspiring story all about.

Guru Movie Review:

Venkatesh with his superb portrayal of the tough and strict coach made a remarkable performance with a rugged makeover that suits him perfectly. Ritika Singh has been too good. Her complete change from being a vegetable vendor to a boxing champion is inspiring. Thanikella Bharani, Zakir Hussain, Raghu Babu and Anita Chowdary have performed their roles. Nassar’s character as ‘Punch Ponds’ gets to appear throughout the movie in an entertaining role.

However, Venky told that there were changes made, but Guru looked like nothing new is there from the Hindi version.

Positive Points:

  • Screenplay
  • Lead roles Acting
  • Camera
  • Dialogues

Negative Points:

  • Nativity issues
  • Exact Replica of Hindi Version

All India Roundup rating: 3.5/5

Final Verdict:

The movie is very similar to that of the Hindi version with minor changes and Pawan Kalyan references. Overall, this movie is a must-watch this weekend not only for Venky fans but also for the sports enthusiasts and movie lovers who appreciate good cinema.
