#BREAKING: In 3 Days, #Kaala has crossed ₹ 100 Cr Gross at the WW Box Office..
Doing extremely well in overseas Kaala has become 2nd highest opener coming right after Padmavat starring Ranveer Singh.
The film revolves around the story of a Dharvi-based don Karikalan, who fights for the people for their right of land against Land mafia and politicians.
The film has been directed by Pa Ranjith, also stars many Bollywood faces like Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, and Eswari Rao
At the beginning the film faces some protests in Karnatka because of some controversial statement by the star Rajnikant. Which later on was revealed that it was the distributors who had decided to not release the film because of the strong protest against the film.
However, film was released in Karnatka and has reported to earn as much as 10 crore in the state.
And even though Kaala didn’t had promotions like usual Rajnikant’s starrer movies, it still has managed to make a great impact. According to reports Kaala had made 200 crore before releasing from music right and broadcast rights.
Kaala has also earned some great reviews by audience, one person named Krishnan D said “Expected a 75% Thalaivar & 25% Ranjith movie, but turned out to be 50:50. Ranjith pushes his ideology too much movie after movie. In a gangster movie, we always expect a Baasha, but hard to accept that, at 68, Thalaivar can’t repeat it if the script does not give scope. With age, he beautifully gives himself fully to the directors’ desires & still pushes the boundaries. Forever Super Star.”
