Yesterday the trailer of Kaala was released, the trailer was released in Hindi and Tamil as well. Starring Nana Patekar and Rajnikant the movie is long awaited and has created a lot of buzz among fans and media as it will showcase clash between two fantastic actors through a storyline which so far by trailer looks incredible, intense and action packed movie with drama.
However, Kaala may have a problem releasing in Karnataka and may get banned in Karnataka. President of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) Sa Ra Govindu has requested theatre owners not to release Kaala and not to be associated with this film in any way, the reason for this Kannadigas are not pleased with the Rajnikant’s opinion on Cauvery issue. 10 or more letters which were written to Film Chambers by various pro-Kannad group stated the same and thus putting pressure on film chambers to band the movie in Karnataka.
Kaala is set to release worldwide on June 7th. Sa Ra Govindu also said “ I am not doing this as president of KFCC but as an activist and proud citizen of Karnataka. For me, the state comes first and friendship next. We are proud of Rajnikant, Who is from Karnataka and has grown to great heights. We would watch his films for his entertainment performances though it was made in another language. But not anymore.
Previously Bahubali: The conclusion had the same problem because of a remark made by Sathyaraj years ago and was resolved only after Sathyaraj issued an apology. Sa Ra Govindu also said that Rajnikant has changed after he joined politics, previously as an actor only he handled things diplomatically, but now he has made remarks which have hurt our feeling and our prestige. He added, “We will keep our word and will not allow this movie to release in Karnataka.”
Now only time will tell what will happen; regardless fans are being restless everywhere to watch this movie and maybe, the ongoing conversation results in a solution which may allow the film to be released in Karnataka as well alongside the whole world.
