Shathaya Gathaya is a kannad movie release this friday on the big screen and Shathaya Gathaya movie review has received 1.5 out 5 stars on times of India.
The movie is directed by Sandeep Gowda and will feature Sandeep Gowda, M.S. Umesh, Gaddappa and Kuri Prathap as lead characters. Many others have also joined the film such as Raghu Ramappa, Shiv Pradeep, and Sonika Gowda.
Based on the story of a child who was wronged by powerful men and his mother was murdered. The boy is taught to be fearless and never bow down to anyone. He takes a journey of revenge on people who wronged him and his family when he was young. However, to his surprise, there is a mysterious man who is killing everyone on his kill list before anyone.
Even though the movie is under 2 hours the excess amount of branches of the story the film has makes it feel ages, and it fails to keep the focus revolving around the main story.
The movie starts with the known style of flashback memory telling stories of past which becomes the reason for the story which is being discussed.
Until interval story seems dull and slow and not catchy and just before the interval there is a twist which gives a little bit of hope however as the movie starts again, it becomes even worse.
The film does not have excellent camerawork either a well-edited movie which makes watching this film even worse.
Set in a rural area as the trend going on in Marathi films, it tries to be a murder mystery but fails to do so and felt like a mixup of a lot of things which doesn’t feel right and don’t go well together.
While we love the fact that movie brings a lot of new faces to the industry which is good as it shows there are opportunities in the industry for many people. It doesn’t take away the fact that film does not feel a well thought out movie. The script needed a lot more work and cinematography should have had been a lot better.
The overall film is dull and fails to keep the attention of the audience, and we really would not suggest this movie.
