Starring Akshay Kumar, Toilet Ek Prem Katha on Chinese Box Office is on a rampage. The film released on Chinese box office on Friday.
Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film also starred Bhumi Pednekar, has done Rs.15.49 crore on the very first day and Rs. 23.90 crore on its 2nd. Almost doing Rs 40 crore in just two days, Rs 39.85 to be exact.
With such an overwhelming response from the audience in China Akshay took it to Twitter to thank them,

The film is supporting the campaign of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to ensure proper sanitisation for women and men in rural areas and eliminate open defecation in India.
The film is named as Toilet Hero in China, has made a mark on Chinese box office by becoming number 1 spot on Chinese box office on its 2nd day of release.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news by tweeting,

He also wrote “Box office can be most unpredictable, but that’s the beauty of this business… A section of the industry wasn’t too confident of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha striking a chord in China due to the issue it raises… Well, all speculations/calculations have proven wrong.”
The budget of the entire movie was not more than Rs 18 crore, and so far it had done the business of Rs.216 crore when it released, and it still is growing.
It was Akshay Kumar’s highest grossing film of the year making Rs 132 crore in India alone.
We hope the pace which the film has made continues and grow even more significant number in China as it surely is a very proud moment for everyone in Bollywood.
