Here is such kind of thing where a police constable from Mumbai bravely climbed up to the hilltop and stopped a young man from committing suicide.
Sources say that the constable belongs to Sakinaka station and latter man was trying to commit suicide as his salary grant is delayed.

The police constable is laurelled with appreciations and praise from social media, especially the Twitter users. According to the sources, 29-year-old Suhas Nevase with sub-inspector Mhatre rushed to a hilltop in Andheri East’s Sangharsh Nagar, after they received a distress call about the man trying to end his life.
Nevase then reportedly climbed the hill, reached the man, negotiated with him for about half an hour before convincing him to come down.
