10 Startups Get Shortlisted For Google Launchpad Accelerator India Programme

The first batch of 10 shortlisted startups was announced by Google on Friday and this initiation will be part of its “Launchpad Accelerator” mentorship programme in India.

The class for it is slated to begin on September 10 at the office of Google in Bengaluru.

A two-week intensive mentorship boot camp will be conducted for the startups and after that virtual support will be given for the remaining duration of three months, a statement by the company said.

“The shortlisted startups are doing incredible work in areas ranging from, enhancing employability and earning-abilities of the blue-collar workforce to using satellite imagery to support farmers’ decision-making process,” said Paul Ravindranath G, Programme Manager, Google India.

One of the selected startups is CareNx which can be defined as a smartphone enable fetal heart monitor to detect fetal asphyxia at an early stage.

To provide decision making support in many sectors like water, agriculture, education and more, “Vassar Labs” uses sensors, satellite, and crowd-sourced data.

MultiBhashi is a very much simplified language learning platform for a blue-collar workforce and “Next Billion Indian” online users and Wysa is an AI-based chat therapy for mental health.

“Genrobotics is a semi-automatic robot for manhole cleaning directed to bring the practice of manual scavenging to an end in India,” said Google.

Another startup, OliveWear is a well-connected health ecosystem of doctors to deliver personalized maternal care to women during their pregnancy.

While Signzy is another one which ensures digital trust using AI and Blockchain to provide solutions like e-verification and risk prediction.

Another software called SlangLabs serves in building multilingual voice interfaces for mobile apps, which provide app interactions via voice in addition to touch.

For an early detection system for preventable clinical adverse events, ten3THealthcare comes to the rescue by monitoring real-time, remote and continuous vital signs of patients.

Uncanny Vision is another one that is focused on vehicle analytics, object analytics, and people analytics by using AI-based Deep Learning models.

“We are hopeful that with this programme of ours, we will be able to bring best of Google — our expertise, platforms, tools and core strengths including machine learning and AI, to help Indian startups build, scale and grow their offering,” said Ravindranath.

Based on Google’s global Launchpad Accelerator programme, Launchpad Accelerator India is another one which opened applications in July.
