11 Members of The Same Family Found Dead in Delhi

Joint family of 11 members was found dead in Delhi. 10 of the family member is found hanging in their home. Now the question appears, is it mass suicide committed on Sunday or due to some other reason.

 

 

The eldest family member is Narayani Bhatia who is 77 years old. She was found strangled in one of the room. Rest of the family member was including two 15-year-old boys used scarves to hang themselves. Another shocking part of the incident is family members were gagged and blindfolded. Cotton buds were found stuffed in their ears.

At the place of the incident, the dairy was found by the police officials. In which the detailed instruction for mass suicide including how hangings should be conducted.

Bhatia who is the shopkeeper of the area seemed to follow the instruction written in the dairy. Some of the content written in the dairy may have been written months ago. A family member also conducted the havan hours before the suicides.

 

 

The only one alive in the house was a family dog, Jacky. Police filed the FIR under the section 302 murder. Chief of Police Amulya Patnaik said the crime branch was probing all angles.

Police sources stated that extreme religious activities appeared to be the reason for this incident. Alok Kumar who is the joint commissioner of the crime branch said, police had recovered specific hands written notes from the place of an incident during the search of the house. They also said the entire family is following some specific spiritual practices.

Who Informed To Police?

The death came out in light on Sunday morning 7:15 AM. When the neighbor named Gurcharan Singh visited the house and found all the members hanging. He immediately informed the police.

The house had not been ransacked. Phones, gold jewellery, and other valuable items were found undisturbed. These indications show it’s not at all the incident of robbery.

 

 

The bodies were shifted to the Sabzi Mandi mortuary in the afternoon. The autopsy was conducted on Sunday. The rest will take place on Monday.

Police are waiting for the reports of the autopsy that exact the causes of the deaths.
