13-Year-Old Girl Raped And Murdered In Mexico After Mother Went To Buy Food During Coronavirus Lockdown

In what is being considered as one of the most gruesome crimes amidst the coronavirus lockdown, a 13-year-old girl in Mexico was raped and murdered when her mother went out to buy food.

The dead body of 13-year-old Ana Paola was found inside a bedroom at their home.

The incident happened in Nogales, a northwestern city in Mexico.

Mexico is currently under lockdown, which means all non-essential business organizations are closed.

Grocers and pharmacists are open.

The mother of Ana left the house to purchase some home supplies, leaving her alone.

It is believed that someone had broken into the house after she left.

The girl was raped and murdered inside the house.

According to local news agencies, nothing was stolen from the house.

The mother of Ana, whose name was not shared with the public, got concerned when her ex-partner called her and said that their daughter was not picking up the phone.

Getting paranoid about what the partner said, the mother quickly returned to their house.

Upon arriving, police officers were standing outside their house.

The police said:

“The victim was found in one of the bedrooms and signs of violence to her face, apparently from blows. The father of the underage person contacted the mother over the phone where he revealed the 13-year-old girl had gone missing. She arrived at her home which was already secured by officers of the Municipal Police.”

An official investigation has been launched for the incident, however, no official arrests were made.

Talking about the incident, the mother of 13-year-old Ana said:

“There are no words to explain my feelings. I just want to be thankful that my girl lived and shined on Earth for 13 years and from today, will shine in the sky dancing for eternity. The killing has provoked outrage and calls for justice on social media.”

The hashtag #JusticiaParaAnaPaola is currently viral on social media right now.
