NEWS, Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police here yesterday arrested 19 people for selling tickets of superstar Rajinikanth-starred “Kabali” on the black market.
According to the police, a special Operation Team of police nabbed 11 persons after raiding 12 theatres under the limits of Cyberabad East Police Commissionerate and at last seized 126 tickets and Rs 11,640 in cash.
Whereas from Cyberabad West, police have arrested 8 persons from 5 theatres and seized 81 tickets and Rs 1,890 in cash.
“A strict checking was done at Swapna theatre in Katedan, Ganesh theatre in Shamshabad, Srilatha theatre in Chandanagar, Vishwanath theatre in KPHB, Cine Town in Miyapur”, said Cyberabad Police.
By the end of the first day, totally 19 persons for selling the movie tickets in black market were arrested by police for violating the Cinematography Regulation Act.
The Telugu version of the movie hit over 100 screens in Greater Hyderabad on Friday. All the tickets were sold out like hot cakes by Thursday. The black marketers made most of the Rajni mania by selling a Rs 50 ticket was being sold for Rs 500 and a Rs 100 ticket was being sold for Rs 1,000
The most awaited movie of Thalaivar “Kabali” hit the silver screens yesterday worldwide and is now going on with a mixed talk. Irrespective of the talk, the fans of Rajini are loving the movie. The film released in about 5,000 screens across India and abroad yesterday to a frenzied response of the star’s fans.
