A special court sentenced 22-year-old Mukesh Vishwakarma to 20 years in prison for raping a toddler.
Gajendra Sonkar, a Special Public Prosecutor said that Rajeev Kumar, the Additional District and Session Judge sentenced 22-year-old Mukesh and also asked him to pay a fine of Rs. 50,000.
If 22-year-old Mukesh fails to pay the fine, he will have to spend an additional year in the jail.
On 25 February, Mukesh asked the mother of the toddler to leave her with her when she went to do some work.
Mukesh lives near the Telibandha Police Station.
22-year-old Mukesh took the toddler inside a room of his home and raped her.
When the mother of the toddler returned home, she found the house of Mukesh locked, she started to find where her daughter went in their neighborhood.
After some time, the mother went back to the house of Mukesh where she found her One-And-Half-Year-Old crying.
The mother saw injuries on the private parts of the toddler, she confronted Mukesh and filed a complaint against him at a police station.
22-year-old Mukesh Vishwakarma was arrested under the IPC sections of 342 (Wrongful Confinement) and 376 (Rape) and under relevant sections of the POCSO Act.
