In a tragic incident, a three-year-old girl’s thumb was crushed allegedly at a daycare centre in Gurgaon and had to be amputated. Distraught and anguished over the incident, the mother of the girl, Shivani Sharma posted on Facebook calling the incident “utter negligence of DayCare owner.”
The incident took place on April 28, as said by Shivani Sharma, who has filed an FIR against the daycare owner. But, it came to light when Ms. Sharma posted the incident on Facebook on May 9.
In the post that has been widely shared by over 10,600 Facebook users, Ms. Sharma says half an hour after she dropped off her little daughter Myra at the daycare, “Cherub Angel”, she received a call from a teacher saying there’s an “emergency” and her daughter has been taken to a hospital. Upon reaching the hospital, Ms. Sharma was told that her daughter’s tip of the thumb has been amputated as it had gotten crushed inside the edge of the door.
In the post, Sharma says that the owners of Cherub Angels promised them to pay for Myra’s treatment but haven’t done so. Instead, they threatened Sharma and have now stopped taking her calls.
