Four months old child died due to the negligence of Doctors at District Hospital Handwara. This incident happened in Handwara on Thursday. Nazir Ahmed, the father of the child came from Tarkipora Handwara says that he brought his daughter when is started vomiting and later suffering from chest complications.
“As I rushed my daughter to the hospital, one Dr. Firdous was examining patients in the OPD. I pleaded him that my daughter was in serious condition but he pushed me aside, saying I should wait…” Pir said.
“The doctor told me it was 2.00 pm and that OPD time was over — so I should bring the child to his private clinic,” he alleged.
By listening to Pir other patients and their attendants also joined him and there took an argument between doctors of the hospital and patients attendants.
“The doctors in the hospital tried to resuscitate the child but she was brought dead here. The patient’s attendants have actually manhandled the doctor on duty after he told them that the child was brought dead.” The Medical Superintendent said, “since his brother was attacked, so he had to retaliate!”.
The medical superintendent finally concluded that the girl dies because of the negligence of the doctors itself.
