The 61st Britannia Filmfare Awards were held to honor the best films of 2015 from the Hindi-language film industry on the 15th of January, 2016 at the Yash Raj Studio in Mumbai. Hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and comedian Kapil Sharma, the event was quite a starry affair with the who’s who of B-Town celebrities gracing the award ceremony.
The Filmfare Awards have become a longstanding legacy since their inception. And this year, with the 61st edition of the Britannia Filmfare Awards 2016 at the threshold, the awards looked to honour the best in the movies in the year gone by. The event also saw some incredible performances of Bollywood actors, including Shah Rukh, Ranveer Singh, Kriti Sanon, Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan.
