A 65-year-old man from Colorado robbed a bank 2 days before Christmas and threw the money in the air shouting “Merry Christmas” to passers-by.

David Wayne Oliver, the 65-year-old man, reportedly robbed the Academy Bank in Colorado Springs on Monday lunchtime.

A witness who saw the entire incident said the man robbed the bank, came out, and threw the money all over the place.

David reportedly pulled out the money out of his bag and threw it in the air along with saying “Merry Christmas”.

He later went to a Starbucks Coffee Shop near the Academy Bank after throwing the money and waited for the police to arrive and to arrest him.

Passers-by scooped up all the money from the street and taken it back inside the bank.

Looks like people in Colorado are pretty honest.

David Wayne Oliver was arrested and was taken to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center following the bank robbery.

David performed the act on his own.

According to the police, an older white male threatened the bank staff with the use of a weapon before leaving the bank with an undisclosed load of cash in a bag at around lunchtime.
