9-Year-Old Boy From Indore Dies After Relatives Took Him Out Of The ICU

A 9-year-old boy in Indore passed away when his relatives forcibly took him out the ICU ward without telling the doctors. The minor was admitted in an ICU ward of the Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital in Indore.

During an interview with ANI, Dr. PS Thakur said “The 9-year-old boy was admitted in the hospital’s ICU as he was in a serious condition on Saturday. Today his relative took him back against our advice.”

Dr. Thakur also talked about the symptoms of the 9-year-old boy, the doctor said that the symptoms of the minor were not the same with AES.

The doctors also asked the patients in the hospital to not panic.

Dr. Thakur added, “His fever’s symptoms were different from those of acute encephalitis syndrome (AES). I would like to appeal to the public to not panic. We have kept a sample of his blood, which is being tested. Reports will be out by Monday.”

So far, the Acute Encephalitis Syndrome took the lives of more than 130 minors in Muzzafarpur, Bihar. 110 of the deaths were recorded in Shri Krishna Medical College and Hospital alone, and 20 were recorded at the Kejriwal Hospital.
