ABVP Calls For Telangana Bandh On July 26 (TUESDAY)

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Sunday called for a bandh of educational institutions in Telangana state on 26th July 2016 i.e., Tuesday, in protest against government’s apathy over several issues

ABVP strongly opposes the tuition fee charged by all private institutions for technical courses such as MBA and engineering and hence they demand to be reduced. It also demands that government should facilitate scholarships and financial aid to offset the burden of fee on reserved category and economically weak students. ABVP also asked for the immediate recruitment of Vice Chancellor at Telangana universities.

The other demands & questions of ABVP include:

  • The state should provide (including toilets/ drinking water) which were mostly found missing or in a poor condition at Govt schools.
  • Demanded to fill 25,000 teacher jobs & 439 MEO vacancies.
