The Ministry of Civil Aviation said that the Indian government is set to release a total sum of Rs. 1,500 crores to the Indian International passenger airline Air India next week.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation also said that the amount to be released is for fulfilling all the demands for the 2018-109 gross additional expenditure.
On the 20th of December, 2018, the Indian Government infused Rs. 2345 crores into the international passenger airline under its turnaround plans.
