To take on Jio, Airtel has recently launched another new recharge pack in its prepaid category and it comes at Rs. 195. As per the new offer, data pack will be 1.25GB of 2G/ 3G/ 4G data per day along with unlimited voice calls (it includes local, STD and roaming) under a validity period of 28 days. The offers bring a total data benefit of 35GB for the entire time period. However, there is no free SMS option under the pack. Moreover, the pack does not seem to spread across the country but limited to a few telecom circles that Airtel provides its services in. The pack of Rs. 195 was spotted in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle on the company website.
Apart from that, as per the report by Telecom Talk, other circles like Kerala have the pack and this can be seen on the Airtel’s website only and is yet to update its mobile-based app. While this is to be seen, whether the company comes up with the prepaid pack widely across all telecom circles it operates in India.
In the last week, Airtel came up with its new offer of Rs. 168 recharge pack for its select users in select telecom circles in the country. Under this pack, it avails benefits such as 1GB 2G/ 3G/ 4G data per day, unlimited voice calling, and 100 SMS messages per day. The total validity of the pack is 28 days. While the Rs. 195 pack is very good for users who want more data, the Rs. 168 pack would stand preferably if someone wants SMS benefits along with any offer.
And if we compare Rs. 195 Airtel recharge offer with that of Jio offers, the latter comes out with increased benefits. Rs. 198 offer from Jio avails a total of 2GB of 4G data with completely unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS messages per day, and other complimentary subscription to the Jio suite of apps. However, the best of all comes from Vodafone.
In July, Vodafone reviewed its Rs. 199 recharge pack to offer a data pack of 2.8 GB 2G/ 3G/ 4G data per day but for select users, and this is apart from the usual unlimited calling benefits. The total validity of the pack is 28 days and there are no SMS benefits under the plan. Now it is upto the user to opt according to their needs.
