All India Radio Live Android App Available on Google Play Store

All India Radio (AIR) has launched a mobile application for Android users, which will be available for a free download on the Google Play Store. The app, which was launched on April 30, is called ‘All India Radio Live’ and will soon be available on iOS, Windows and other platforms. In March 2013, AIR released AIR News as its first Android app to offer live news. The app provides all the latest news, national as well as regional, directly from India’s public service broadcaster Prasar Bharti.

“We are pleased to share that very soon AIR Live mobile app will be available for other platforms also. Our IT team is continuously at work and we hope to get connected through all mobile platforms shortly,” said AIR director general Fayyaz Sheheryar.

The Mobile App can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, initiating the first phase of a pilot project of bringing the oldest broadcaster of India to the fastest moving technology.

All India Radio Live app is 8.24MB in size and is compatible with devices running on Android 2.3.3 or above.
The app also an option to set favourite radio channels for quick access and provides an easy search bar on top.

It is worth noting that the app requires an active Wi-Fi or a high-speed data connection for live streaming radio channels on Android devices.

All India Radio Live app offers a range of radio channels in Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Marathi and Malayalam to entertain Android users in India and across the globe.
