Anam Brothers, Strong Duo In Andhra Pradesh Joined Telugu Desam Party

Former State Minister and Senior Leader in Congress Party in Andhra Pradesh Anam Ramanarayana Reddy joined the ruling party Telugu Desam Party. He joined the party along with his brother who is Former MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy. Both the brothers were grandly given Welcome.

Anam brothers joined the party in the presence of TDP Chief and Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu. Ramanarayana Reddy was one of the senior ministers during the Congress rule in Andhra Pradesh between 2004-2014. He worked as the finance minister in the Cabinet of N. Kiran Kumar Reddy before the state bifurcation.

Ramanarayana Reddy and Vivekananda Reddy are the famous Anam brothers well known in Nellore District. Both the brother are seen as the major setback to the Congress Party in Andhra Pradesh where it does not have representation in the Legislative Assembly.

Ramanarayana Reddy told reporters that their pleas as ministers to the Congress high command against bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh fell on deaf ears and party leadership showed no signs of regret for its decision during the last 15 months. The Anam brothers, who have been staying detached from active politics since last year’s elections, said they chose to join the TDP in the interest of the state’s development.

Vivekananda Reddy said Chandrababu Naidu is the only leader with a right vision who can direct Andhra Pradesh in times of ongoing crisis where it does not even have its own Capital city and adequate revenues.
