A 23-foot-long python managed to swallow a 54-year-old woman, who went missing when she was checking her vegetable garden, in Central Indonesia.
Wa Tiba, the 54-year-old woman, went missing in her village in Muna Island in the Southeast Sulawesi Province when she was checking her vegetable garden.
According to Faris, a villager, the family of Wa Tiba went to look for her at the garden, but only managed to find her belongings.
The villagers, along with the family members, launched a search party for the woman.
Instead of finding the missing woman, the search party found a 23-foot-long python that had a bloated belly.
The python was sitting still 54 yards away from where the belongings of the woman were found.
The search party decided to kill the massive snake and carried it out to the village.
Faris, the villager, said, “When they cut open the snake’s belly they found Tiba’s body still intact with all her clothes,”
Faris added, “She was swallowed first from her head.”
In images and videos that were shared online, it showed villagers slicing open the belly of the python.
Upon opening, the villagers found the body of Wa Tiba.
The garden of Wa Tiba is located half a mile away from her house.
The garden is located in rocky areas and cliffs that are home to many massive and deadly snakes.
The case of Wa Tiba is being considered as an extremely rare case of a human being killed by a python.
Pythons are mostly known to eat smaller mammals that include pigs, monkeys, birds, and smaller animals.
