9-Year-Old Boy Rushed To Hospital After Being Attacked By Vicious Dog In Essex Park

A 9-year-old boy was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries after they were attacked in a park by a vicious dog.

The dog is still on the loose in Langdon Hills, Essex, said the authorities.

According to numerous reports, the 9-year-old boy was savaged by the animal on the evening of Friday.

The dog has been described as a black Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

The dog does not have a collar and is believed to be a stray dog because there was no visible owner in the area.

The Essex Police are now urging the public to help them find the dog.

People with any information about the incident and the dog that attacked the dog are being asked to come forward.

The spokesperson of the Essex Police released a statement about the incident, where they said:

A nine-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with injuries after he was attacked by a dog in Langdon. We were called on Friday 27 November with reports that the boy had been walking his dog with his family at Langdon Hills recreation ground shortly before 7.30pm, when another dog approached them. The dog was reported to have acted aggressively towards the family’s dog before attacking the boy, when he tried to separate the two dogs.

The spokesperson of the police also described the animal.

The police are currently looking for a black Staffordshire Bull Terrier type of dog with long legs.

The dog was alone, does not have any collar, and is roaming around freely.

They added:

We are appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time and witnessed the attack, saw a dog matching this description in the area, or knows where the dog may have come from.

Visitors of the park and locals in the area are being asked to look out for the animal and inform any sightings of the dog.

An official investigation has also been launched.
