Lucas, a cat, was just a kitchen when he fell in love with a stuffed leopard, which was the same size as his at that time.
Fast forward to this year, Lucas is big, but he still loves that toy just like he did when he was a little fella.
Alana, the mother of Lucas, got into an interview with The Dodo, where she explained how she got the stuffed toy.
She said:
I got the toy from my local zoo, along with a few other stuffed animals. He usually leaves my stuffed animals alone, but he wouldn’t leave this one alone.
However, the toy is old, but Lucas does not know that.
There is something really special about that toy, and we can tell it.
Alana said Lucas just went crazy for this stuffed toy.
She added:
I’d find it in all sorts of weird places all covered in cat spit.
Last year, the grandmother of Alana moved in with the family, and they fell in love with Lucas.
She noticed one thing tho, and that was the horrible state of the cat’s leopard.
The grandmother saw stuffing coming out and its fur tattered, so they decided to fix it up.
Alana said:
He’s had this toy for probably four years, and it ripped because of wear and tear. My grandma moved in with us last year, and really loves Lucas. [She] saw that his favorite toy was ripped, so she sewed it back together for him.
The toy got some pampering with needle and threat, and the best part about it was that Lucas waited patiently as the grandmother performed surgery on his little pal.
Recalling the incident, Alana said:
He watched the whole time. He was just super into what she was doing.
Thanks to the efforts of the grandmother, Lucas will get to enjoy the toy for years more.
Talking about Lucas, Alana said “he was very happy”.
