Beagle Euthanized To End Suffering After It Was Skinned Alive

Greenwood Blvd, Neosho: A pet dog was euthanized after it was skinned alive.

The incident happened in the southwest Missouri city of Neosho, and local authorities are asking the help of the public to find the person who did the horrible act.

Reports suggest that the female beagle pooch escaped its enclosure while its owners were not home.

Someone skinned the poor beagle alive.

Residents who found the beagle said 3 quarters of its skin was removed, they informed the local authorities about the horrible act.

Investigating officers consulted with a veterinarian, who suggested euthanizing the dog would be the best way to end its suffering.

Talking about the incident, Amanda Good, the state director for the Humane Society of the United States in Missouri, said, “It takes a truly callous person to skin a dog alive and it’s completely heartbreaking to imagine the suffering this dog endured.”

Amanda added, “We hope that this reward will encourage anyone with information about this terrible crime to come forward, not only to help seek justice for this animal, but also to ensure the safety of the entire community.”

The Humane Society of the United States has set a $5000 reward for the case, and the members of the local community gathered $3000 as a reward in the case.

Authorities and locals are now sharing images of an edited picture of the dog with hopes of finding someone that may have witnessed the incident.
