Colorado Driver Put His Dog In The Back Of His Pickup Truck During Snowstorm

A driver from Colorado, USA, is currently being criticized for putting his dog in the back of his pickup truck during a snowstorm.

A picture of the dog sitting at the back of the truck was taken by a woman in Aurora, Colorado, earlier this week.

The picture showed the dog covered in snow as it sat in the back of a pickup truck that was driving along a roadway.

Dr. Missy Tasky, a veterinarian, said that the owner of the dog placed the dog at risk of getting frostbite.

When a dog can’t move around to stay warm, it can get sick and can die in a worst-case scenario.

Dr. Missy, a veterinarian with the Gentle Touch Animal Hospital, said, “That’s just a recipe for disaster. It’s just not an ideal situation for that guy.”

The picture was taken on October 10, 2019.

The reports on that day said it was 16 degrees, but with the wind chill, it was around zero degrees Fahrenheit.

Dr. Tasky said the breed of the dog was an Alaskan Malamute, which is an artic breed that is capable of withstanding freezing temperatures.

According to local animal rights activists and groups, it is prohibited to transport an animal without proper shelter in Colorado.

The Aurora Animal Services said they got a number of 911 calls from citizens on October 10, the day of the incident.

One of the concerned citizens called 911 and reported the license plate of the driver.

The individual that called 911 said the police should track him down.

Anthony Youngblood, who works as an Animal Services Officer, said the owner of the dog apologized for what happened.

The driver, whose identity was not shared with the public, told the police that the dog was secured with a harness.

The officers ended up giving the man a warning.
