Dog Chasing Rabbit Rescued After It Got Trapped Inside Buried Vehicle

Animal rescuers in Virginia said a small dog that was chasing a rabbit on the private property of his owner ended up being trapped inside an old vehicle that had been buried.

In a Facebook post that was made by the Franklin County Animal Control and Shelter, they said Henry, the elderly beagle, was chasing a rabbit on the property when he went after the rabbit into a small hole.

The incident happened in Franklin County, Virginia.

The family of Henry told the rescuers that they found the beagle inside the buried vehicle when they heard him barking underground.

Animal Control responded to the property with personnel from the Fork Mountain Fire Department and Franklin County Public Safety.

Upon investigating, the rescuers found Henry trapped inside an old vehicle that was buried on the property.

The dog had managed to get inside the vehicle.

The emergency responders had to use tools made specially to dig and bend metal.

In a post that was made by the rescuers, they confirmed that Henry was rescued without any complications.

The post said, “Happy to say Henry is fine! He did not experience any pain during the rescue, just a little cold, thirsty and tired!”
